Pink Floyd Tribute - THE ACOUSTIC SIDE OF THE MOON explores
the Unplugged concept as applied to the Pink Floyd experience,
modeled after a series of successful sold-out acoustic shows
performed by Wish You Were Here that celebrate the timeless
songs of Waters, Gilmour, Barrett, Mason & Wright.
A musically and visually dynamic 6 to 8-piece concert act
with acoustic guitars, keyboards, percussion, female backup
vocals, intelligent lighting, sound effects & stage
props, THE ACOUSTIC SIDE OF THE MOON features some of the
most experienced Pink Floyd tribute players in the country
performing spirited acoustic arrangements of the classic
hits, albums and fan favorites that have made Pink Floyd
one of the most successful bands in rock history.
"Our Unplugged shows have always been very popular
with our fans, and I also make my living performing in acoustic
duo and trio formats, so I created the concept and name
of the band back in 2006, as a fun side-project for myself
& the friends I play with," says WYWH and ASOTM
bassist/vocalist Eroc Sosinski.
"The positive response by the fans and promoters to
this non-traditional style of tribute on the bar & club
level has been very encouraging - people rightfully expect
us to live up to the reputation of Wish You Were Here and
it really is all about the love for Pink Floyd music, shared
in a communal settting. Our fans and friends of Wish You
Were Here are the best, and I wouldn't change that for the
world."
Equally suited for the intimate club environment as well
as the concert stage, THE ACOUSTIC SIDE OF THE MOON is an
alternative to the large-scale show produced by Wish You
Were Here yet shares their professional production values,
enthusiastic fan base, and recognized musical reverence
for Pink Floyd.
